“There’s no special routine to follow,” shared Geneley Briones-Salgado. “Some days are an opportunity to catch up on pending tasks, while others are fast-paced and require multiple responsibilities at once.”

Cassandra Quam echoed that sentiment, adding that she loves the “balance of variety and consistency,” with tasks that change day to day but also offer a chance to become an expert in her role.

Lori Schmidt agrees: “No two days look alike, really. There is always something random that happens that most likely wouldn’t happen in any other workplace.”

Geneley是RHS 2017年的毕业生。 “I grew up attending Richfield schools,” Geneley shared. “I’m amazed at how our district has evolved in diversity and opportunities for our staff and students.”

Marta spoke to the deep authenticity she’s experienced here: “The support of growth at RPS—and outside of it—is supported by your colleagues no matter what path in life you choose to take.”

Geneley put it perfectly: “It’s very rewarding when we get to witness all of our hard work come together.”

Of course, it’s not all business. Our administrative professionals know how to bring joy to the workplace—and to each other.

Crystal recalled one of her favorite moments: “On the last day of school last year, I dressed up in an inflatable costume alongside my Outreach Worker. It is important to bring joy to the building—even on the busiest of days!”

Patti shared that her team “works hard, we’re challenged by each other… but we also enjoy laughter, a good time, and snacks.” Geneley added a little morning ritual that’s become a highlight: “One of my favorite things to do each morning is preparing fresh hot coffee for our administrative team—it’s become a fun thing to do.”

These moments of connection aren’t just fun—they’re foundational to the strong relationships that support our schools.

Marta offered a shout-out to her team: “To my principal and closest co-worker, Erica Barlow… and our amazing APs Dr. Schaefer and Amy Hager: thank you for your grace, support, and humor.”

And Lori made sure to lift up her colleagues across buildings, saying, “I have been fortunate to have the best team to work with in multiple buildings, so thank you to all the District counselors, social workers, and outreach workers!”
