2020届DLI毕业生：他们现在在哪里？

	阿达伯托·迪亚兹·科尔特斯：建设未来和家庭阿达伯托是一名工会工人，专门从事高层建筑的窗户清洁工作。年仅22岁的阿达伯托正为自己的家庭成为第一代房主铺平道路。 Reflecting on his DLI experience, he shared, “Being bilingual is not just useful at work—it’s a nice feeling to be able to speak and understand both languages, whether translating for my mom or helping random people.” Despite recent challenges, including the loss of his father, Adalberto remains determined: “I’m taking it day by day. I know I’ll be better than ever.”
	伊莎贝尔·法雷尔：从里奇菲尔德到西班牙和其他地方早在高中时，伊莎贝尔就梦想着上四年制大学，但她还没有决定自己的学习领域。 She eventually earned dual degrees in Marketing and Spanish from the University of Minnesota and joined Best Buy’s corporate team in Richfield. 她在DLI计划的时间培养了终身的人际关系和全球视野。 “The experiences from DLI have gotten us to places much further than Richfield,” she said. Isabel’s proudest moment was studying abroad in Toledo, Spain. “I lived with a host family, volunteered at a local school, and fully immersed myself in a completely Spanish environment.” Isabel dreams of returning to Spain to complete a master’s degree in Marketing.

Her advice to current DLI students is clear: “Stick with the program and give it your all. Being bilingual is one of the best life skills one can possess.”
	泰勒·凯内莫尔：跨越障碍泰勒目前在塔吉特科技公司（Target Tech）的客户服务部门工作，他每天都用自己的西班牙语技能与客户联系。 “As a customer service employee, I can pass the language barrier better than some of my coworkers,” he said. 泰勒对他从客户那里得到的积极反馈感到自豪，他正在存钱攻读IT学位。 He encourages DLI students to “practice your language skills every day, and don’t forget to be kind.”

塑造未来

2020届DLI班已经证明，双语能力和文化理解是塑造未来的有力工具。 As Isabel put it, “Being able to connect with other people and cultures is the biggest gift to humanity.” From law school to corporate offices, construction sites and classrooms, these alumni are making their mark—and they’re just getting started.
